By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the site. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our website.

Company Services

Description of Services:

Prenure™ provides business customers with a range of short-term insurance products. These products are underwritten by Auto&General Insurance Company Limited, and managed by Aspis (Pty) Ltd, a registered financial service provider (FSP 48407). The specific terms and conditions of each insurance product are governed by the individual policy documents provided by Aspis (Pty) Ltd. By signing up for our services, you agree to adhere to the terms of these policies in addition to the terms outlined here. Policy and claims administration is performed by Monitor Administrators (Pty) Ltd.

Insurance Products

Prenure™ offers a variety of insurance products tailored to meet the needs of business customers. These include:

Digital Device Cover:

  • Covered Devices: Cellphones, laptops, tablets, tills, card machines.
  • Coverage: Protection against loss, theft, and accidental damage. Terms and conditions of coverage, including claim limits and deductibles, are specified in the individual policy documents.
  • Conditions: An IMEI or serial number for the insured device must be supplied to Prenure™ before the device being deemed covered on policy.
  • Excess and Limitations: Excess on digital device replacement is 5% for repairs and 10% for replacement. Three months of uninterrupted premium is required before a claim can be assessed, unless proof of the MOBILE DEVICE being younger than 1 (one) year, is provided. In such an event, an additional R250 is payable for each claim made within the first 60 (sixty) days of cover.  Maximum number of claims 2 (two) per 12 month period.

First Loss Cover:

  • Covered Items: Equipment, stock, fixtures, fittings, and buildings.
  • Coverage: This policy provides first loss cover in the event of a natural disaster such as floods, storms, or earthquakes. The specific terms, including the amount of coverage and any exclusions, are detailed in the policy documents.
  • Conditions: First loss cover is for natural disaster related claims, and does not cover theft or riots, this will be claimed under SASRIA benefit. Damage to building structures due to natural disaster is limited to 20% of the total first loss cover value.
  • Excess and Limitations: Excess on first loss claims is R1,000 for StartUp Plan, R3,000 for Growth Plan, R5,000 for Expand Plan, and R7,500 for Scale Plan. A maximum of 2 claims per year is covered per policy. There is a 30 day wait period before claiming on new policies.

Personal Accident Cover:

  • Coverage Areas: Injury expenses, death, and disability payouts.
  • Benefits: This cover provides financial assistance for injury expenses incurred due to an accident, as well as lump-sum payments in the event of death or permanent disability resulting from an accident. The terms and conditions, including the payout amounts and claim procedures, are outlined in the policy documents.
  • Conditions: Injury and death benefits are for accident related incidents, and not for any pre-existing or new illness related outcomes.
  • Excess and Limitations: The first R500 of injury expenses is for the policyholder’s account. In the event of a temporary total disability related claim, the policyholder needs to be absent from work for a full week before a claim can be submitted.

Policy Duration and Cancellation:

The insurance policy start date will commence 48 hours after the purchase date and time. This waiting period is required to ensure the receipt and clearance of funds by the insurer. Coverage will not be provided during this 48-hour period. By purchasing the policy, the policyholder acknowledges and agrees to this condition.

All policies run on a monthly renewal cycle from the date of inception of each policy (not calendar month). Customers can choose to cancel, upgrade or downgrade their policy at the end of the current billing cycle, no pro-rata payments or refunds will be offered. Notice of change in policy to be provided via the My Account section of Prenure™ website.

Policy Payment Requirements:

Prenure™ insurance policies are paid in advance via debit or credit card details entered into your account on the Prenure™ website. It is the customers responsibility to ensure these are up to date and have sufficient funds to cover the next charge. Insufficient funds or lapsed card details will be notified to the customer via email, with a further two attempts allowed over a 15 day grace period, during which time your account status will be placed in ‘arrears’ status where claims will be processed only after policy fees outstanding are paid in full. If no payment is made after the 15 day grace period, then the policy will be automatically cancelled and no claims entertained.

Prenure™ utilises Paystack as our payment gateway provider to facilitate the collection of insurance premiums. Payments are securely processed using debit and credit card tokenization, which ensures that your payment information is stored safely. By using our services, you authorise Prenure to charge your debit or credit card for the agreed-upon premium amounts.

Use of the Website

Eligibility:

By using this website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this website by any third party.

  • Use the website in any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Africa for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this website.
